Chesapeake Math Program News

.

February 17, 2021: I’m pleased to announce the results of the February 2021 CMP Online Math Contest.

First place: Daniel He, Montgomery Blair High School, grade 9
Honorable Mention: Rebecca Wu, Atholton High School, grade 10

Daniel receives a $25 Amazon.com gift certificate as the first place prize
Jessica receives an Honors Certificate.

My congratulations to our mathletes!

Solutions will be available at the end of February (no earlier) because one of the problems on the exam is the February problem of the month from the MAA Metro section of New York.

Although the CMP contest is finished, students are encouraged to submit their solution for the MAA problem of the month to the MAA. You have until the last day of February, 2021. The problem is on the level of an AMC-10 problem, so it should be within reach of high school students and advanced middle school students. If you submit a problem that isn’t correct, they may give you the opportunity to resubmit your answer.

Submit your answers to Dr. David Seppala-Holtzman at the MAA by clicking here or following the links below . See below for the MAA Metro February problem.
