Chesapeake Math Program

.

The Chesapeake Math Program served high schools and middle schools (and a few elementary schools). Until 2019, it involved mostly students in Maryland, but also a few in Virginia, Delaware, and DC. The program, founded and directed by Catherine Asaro, provided math classes, clubs, teams, and mentoring. Director Asaro also help set up math programs for schools. The contests her students attended included the AMC-12,10, 8, AIME, USAMO, HMMT, PuMAC, JHMT, Mathcounts, Mathleague, Maryland Mathalon, Perennial, Math Kangaroo, Purple Comet, Mandelbrot, MOEMS, and many others.

For more information on the program, see this article in the Washingtonian.

Summer 2019: Doctor Asaro moved to Long Island in the summer of 2019. Her classes are currently on hiatus, but may reopen in the future. The online forum continues to remain active.

December 2020: The CMP online forum has moved to Groups.io. The forum provides information about contest opportunities, classes, scholarships, and other programs. It serves all students in any type of school, including public, private, charter, and homeschool families. You can join by clicking this link, which will take you to the home page of the group.

February 2021: The results are in for the February 2021 CMP Online Math Contest.  Click here for the results of the February 2021 CMP Online Math Contest.
